Rhinowater
When the well's dry, we know the worth of water.”
Water harvesting, filtration systems, data logging and reaction systems, bioremediation of polluted water bodies and the recycling of effluent, Rhinowater contributes to the conservation of our planet’s life-sustaining resource.
Rhinowater offers innovative and customised solutions in a conscious effort to reduce water consumption and address the challenges of environmental pollution.
Rhinowater is an accredited BIOROCK agent. BIOROCK units are a sustainable sewage and grey water system catering from small families to communities.
For families and single buildings, an “All in one Sewage Treatment System” (4-300 people):
- Simple: First certified 100% DIY, “plug & play”, domestic sewage treatment solution
- Compact: Serving typical household of up to 6 people
- Revolutionary: No electricity required & no moving parts for treatment process
- Robust: Very fast start up period & handles long absence periods
- Unique: Maximized reliability, complete silence & low operational costs
- Sustainable: Low carbon footprint, minimal annual maintenance and excellent purification results
- An RBC is a type of secondary biological wastewater treatment
- It consists of a series of closely spaced, parallel discs mounted on a rotating shaft which is placed just above the surface of the waste water
- Microorganisms grow on the surface of the disks which enables the degradation of the wastewater pollutants
- Once the RBC has cleared the water from its pollutants, the treated wastewater can be discharged into the environment, or it can be reused for irrigation purposes.
Conventional filtration technologies are used to treat a range of water sources such as boreholes, sub-surface springs, dams, rivers, industrial processes, rain and sea water. These include:
- Sand, AFM and particle filters
- Carbon filters
- Membrane filters (UF, RO and other)
- Disinfection (UV, ozone, chlorine and other)
- Water softners and clarifiers
Plant configurations are available in a range of custom installations, skid-mounted and containerised options all catered to the clients need.
We provide a turnkey solution for the construction and installation of dam liners for earth dams, ponds, canals and reservoirs used to contain water, sludge, fertilisers and waste water.

The careful selection of an effective consortium of natural bacteria and nutrients to consume slow-to-degrade organic compounds.
All products used in the process are:
- Non-toxic
- Non-caustic
- Biodegradable
- Non-pathogenic
- Compliant with environmental regulations
This treatment has contributed to Rhinowater’s solutions for Open Water Bioremediation and Manure, Sludge & Oxidation Ponds.
Open Water Bioremediation
- Treatment significantly improves the vitality and stability of these natural bodies of water, restoring their capacity to support aquatic life as well as their value for conservation and recreational activities.
Manure, Sludge and Oxidation Ponds
- A consortium of bacteria and oxidation methods is used to treat manure slurry ponds for the poultry, swine and cattle industries.
- This solution is also effective for treating oxidation ponds that form part of municipal waste treatment systems. Where effluent from the pond is used as fertiliser, the quality of fertiliser is improved.
ULTRA CLEAR Glass Media
Unique, glass filter media, effectively removes microplastics, organic matter and heavy metals from water.
Ultra Clear glass filter media is a direct replacement for silica (quartz) sand:
- Doubling the performance of sand filters with 20% more clarity;
- Resists biofouling, bio coagulation and transient wormhole channeling;
- Filters down to sub 5 micron for effective turbidity and colour removal;
- Requires up to 20% less media;
- Outlasts all other filter media and
- Never needs to be regenerated.

Evaporators utilize Mechanical Vapor Compression technology (MVC), removing 98% of water from liquid waste, ultimately reducing the cost of water recycling and coolant disposal at a typical operational cost of 0.1kW/L.
The Evaporator utilizes the process of Vacuum Induced Evaporation (VIE), which lowers the fluids boiling point, allowing vapor pressure to overcome atmospheric pressure, initiating the boiling process. MVC is used to superheat vapor generated in the boiler. The superheated vapor is then conveyed through a specialised vacuum pump to a condenser, which recaptures the latent heat of the vapor.
